About Us
Our mission at Town & Country Insurance is a very simple one. Every day we aspire to practice the Golden Rule; to treat others as you would like to be treated. We’re all looking for value in what we buy and to have the peace of mind that we’ve done so. Insurance is a vehicle to peace of mind to ensure that you are protected against loss. As an independent agent, we contract with many different companies to meet the needs of our clients because not all sizes fit everyone. Couple this with a team of experienced agents and we believe we’re well positioned to provide value to all parties while practicing the Golden Rule. We keep this in mind when we provide everything from business insurance to workers compensation insurance to home owners insurance.
A little history
The agency was founded by Glen Wisdom in 1963 and was called "Wisdom, Your Insurance Man". The agency was owned by Dent County Bank until bought by Town & Country Bank in 2000, at which time the name was changed. We are a wholly own subsidiary of Town & Country Bank.( www.tcbanks.com ) We are primarily a Property & Casualty agency with a high percentage of commercial business insurance customers. We added a branch office in one of our bank locations at Rolla, Missouri in 2008. We purchased the Hagler Insurance Agency in Licking, Missouri in 2013, and retained the employees at that branch. In 2018 we opened a new branch office in Mountain Grove, Missouri. The branch is located right next to Town & Country Bank on Main Street.
Salem
Mike Elliott
Mike has been with the agency since 1991 and works with business insurance of all types. Mike enjoys working with and relating to business owners due to his own background in business management. He also works with public entities and many different types of non-profit organizations in managing their risks. He’s been the agency’s manager since 1993.
Jaclyn Moore
Jaclyn joined the agency in 2023, and works as an agent for homeowner, auto, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance. She worked in nursing before changing careers.
Sarah Edwards
Sarah joined the agency in 2003 and works as a commercial customer service representative and agent for homeowner, auto, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance. She worked in the accounting department of a food service company in St. Louis before moving back to Salem to join the agency.
Laura St John
Laura joined the agency in 1995 as the agency’s part-time bookkeeper. In 1998 Laura obtained her producer license and became an agent working mainly with homeowner, auto, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance. Her experience prior to joining the agency was in corporate merchandising. She pays the bills and maintains the agency’s books.

Kayla Stienbarger
Kayla joined the Agency in August of 2022. She works as an Agent for homeowner, auto, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance. She has a solid background in customer service and administrative skills from working for different employers in the Licking area.
Julia Ramsey
Julia has been with Town and Country since the Hagler Agency was purchased and merged into Town & Country Insurance back in 2013. Julia is the branch manager and primarily devotes her energy and knowledge to writing and servicing business insurance. She has several decades of insurance experience.

Alonda Jones
Alonda joined the Agency in October of 2022. She is the Branch Manager and business insurance sales representative for the Agency. She has a long history of sales and customer service. She has strong administrative skills and is very organized. She is strong in her Christian Faith and has a heart for serving many causes in and around the Mountain Grove community.
Sabrina Aldridge
Sabrina joined the Agency in February of 2023 and works as an agent for homeowner, auto, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance. She has a strong history of superb customer service skills. Sabrina is strong in her Christian Faith and enjoys volunteering in the community where she can make a difference.
Abbigayle Evans
Abbigayle joined the Agency in the Fall of 2023. She works as a customer service representative. She brings several years’ history of customer service from the retail sector and will soon be licensed as an agent for homeowner, auto, motorcycle, RV and boat insurance.
Rolla
The Rolla branch location was opened in 2008. Town & Country bought the "Josh Schafer Agency" in 2010, and many of its customers are still insured with us to this day. Customers are currently being serviced by the Salem staff, and by appointment in Rolla.
